Better Readers Make Better Learners Across the Curriculum!
Welcome to the Grove Library! My name is Mrs. Heath.
The library is located in the center of Grove school. A beautiful painted mural with many storybook characters frames the outside door. How many can you name?
- Books can be searched for, checked in and checked out with our library's automated circulation system.
- All Grove patrons have their own library card... just like a public library.
- We're open every morning. Students can come in to return and check out books. They visit the library once a week with their class.
- Over 3000 Accelerated Reader books and quizzes are available in our student's reading ranges! This has become a very exciting reading program and has lead to a very high interest in reading materials. Due to this program circulation has increased over 300% in recent years.
In addition to all the above, the library is also a Reading Mastery classroom in the afternoons.
Several students assist with daily library duties. These range from taking library baskets around to assisting classes checking in and out.
